Fareed Ayaz’s qavvaal party belongs to the 705 year old “Qavvaal Bachon Ka Gharana” of Delhi. They are the sons of the legendary Munshi Raziuddin and are internationally acclaimed as being amongst the finest qavvaals of the sub-continent. Omar Asghar Khan Foundation has deep experience of working in conflicted areas and was one of the many organizations that provided relief and rehabilitation assistance following the 2005 earthquake and continues to support longer-term rehabilitation worth an estimated US$11 million. The Foundation is also involved in a long-term humanitarian response to the IDP crisis.
